Skies

From early morning's pastel streaks . . .

. . . to the roiling clouds of mid afternoon . . .

. . . our mountain skies put on quite a show.

The third photograph, in particular, is almost like something from sci-fi. It really looks as though the sky is being stretched to bursting!

You gave a perfect description of your skies! You are right about the horror stories, but Pont was an Englishman and he knew exactly where to find the British characteristics and pecularities. And it's funny that a grandmother should read a horror story to a baby, who doesn't understand it at all, but likes to listen to her voice.

Martin, I was on the way home from grocery shopping and that sky was so spectacular I had to pull to the shoulder of the highway to get the picture.

True enough, Reader Wil!

You do have lovely sky views and they come out so well on your post. Where we live, we have so many tall pine trees around us, that the sky is not very visible. I would have to drive to the top of Kennesaw Mountain to get a view and I should do that sometime but today the sun is not out and everything is grey.
