Oh No . . . !

More snow!

New ways of seeing familiar things ...

revealed by delicate tracery...

A crooked willow or a tiny drift, captured in a hook ...

And leaves that make me dream of flowers . . .

Vicki

The garden ornament in the first photograph really sums up the exasperation well. However, without the snow, how could be have been treated to such a beautiful image at the end of the sequence?

The snows we've had, be it a dusting or those heavy snows, sure make the world look different. Your pictures show us that beauty, and Vicki, won't we all be laughing at this winter come August, although looking at our forecast with snow predicted just about every day doesn't have me laughing now. UGH!

Hey Vicki, the pictures are great and at this point you're at the stage of " if you can't beat it"
join it! We ended up with 4 inches and it's melting away under a bright sun this morning. I loved it but it's fine with me if it all goes today! I will be much more grateful for Springs arrival this year I think, how crazy this Winter has been! :)

Yep, I'm trying to be positive. And it was a very pretty snow -- it's sunny at the moment but more snow is forecast pretty much for the next week.

Time to make some snow cream, I think.

Oh, you have such a better attitude than I. You see beauty and poetry and all I see is yet another shovel full of snow to clear. I'll try harder to follow your example.

Just when you think the snow is over, you get another wallop of it! Our weather is mimicking yours at the moment. I know because I am in daily touch with Larry in Knoxville. We had snow all morning here near London, but it didn't settle this time.
Lovely your snowy pictures.
Blessings, Star

The pictures are beautiful and the words made me smile. BUT frankly I have no positive notes in me right now, I'm afraid. We've had just spittings of snow and light accumulations over the past week and more. The hardest to take is the lack of sunshine. Seriously I think we haven't had more than a a week or two of sunshine (a day here a day there) since way back in November. It's getting to us all, and seems to really take a toll on the older critters around here. I guess because they just can't get any warmth in their old bones. Okay, oops. Didn't mean to rant! Ha..Spring is on the way.

Snow is drifting by my window just now -- not much but there it is.

the leaves are brilliant, like delicate pieces of embroidery.
Sorry about the snow, this winter has been quite a bore.
The newness and wonder at the winter wonderland wore off long ago.

Your little statue looks like he's thinking "oh no!"

None of ours has melted yet. It's over a foot deep in the drive. Hopefully my plow guy will clean me a path this weekend. Cabin fever's setting in!

Hi, Friko and Willow -- too right about the winter wonderland effect growing old and cabin fever setting in!
