So cheery when it is rainy and wintery here in NZ. I do love your jersey cow...and so happy she has a happy life in your petit paradis!

That isn't Clover, is it? If it is, she sure has grown!

Love the shovel and flowers and the chicken is quite striking. The snake... hmmmm, not so much. I can't tell a good one, from a bad one!

Lovely photos! I see Willa has her name on her collar. Cute!

So much beauty, including the snake. Indigo?

That is indeed Clover -- getting to be quite a big girl now.

I set the shovel down and when I went to move it a few days later, the morning glory vine had grown through the handle and on up the lattice.

Those are Kieffer pears, Brian, and the snake is a harmless blacksnake.

I love farm days, especially when I can enjoy it without doing any of the work. Clover is beautiful!

I can't get enough of those views of the distant mountains with fog rising from the valleys. Your blacksnake looks like he might be a racer.

Wonderful walk around the farm... thanks!

You're right, Jim. I had a look online -- what I commonly call a blacksnake is, in fact, a racer.
Kath, my online source showed indigos farther south and not in the mountains.

Clover has most definitely grown into a big girl.

That snake looks like it has possibly been in the chicken house.

Your farm is much greener than our patch of brown here in Missouri.
