I am admiring the skills you have to manage with the harvest everyday at your place! You seem to know what you have to do.

Oh, dear. When I saw the first photo of apples, I was thinking the harvester was the same species that harvests the apple trees in a neighbor's yard- deer.

What a feast. I've never tasted freshly dug from the ground potatoes. What a treat.

Worth more than gold, isn't it?

You have a pretty, peaceful face.

Great combo of the fruits of your labor, and the serious and satisfied harvester!

It's a pleasure to gather the fruits of the season -- I made a big pot of tomato sauce with eggplant and green pepper -- and froze it in containers. Also made mincemeat spiced pears (from another day's harvest) to add to the jars on the root cellar shelf. The apples will get turned into apple sauce .Today I'll pick more pears and go investigate those crabapples in the pasture...

We lost all our apples, peaches and some of the blueberries in the last freeze in March. There's always next year.

You are having a great harvest. The potatoes looked very successful. I watch garden shows and they pull out these really small potatoes from small hills of potatoes.

A song popped into my head looking at these pictures - The Byrds: Turn, turn, turn.
'To everything, turn, turn turn.
There is a season, turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose under heaven'.

You've been as busy as the ant all summer and look at the rewards. This winter you can dance like the grasshopper.
